This year we decided to go and joint the Gold Wing Club of Palermo during their 1st "Raduno" located at ISOLA DELLE FEMMINE situated on the West coast of Sicily - about 20 km from Palermo. The Raduno took place from the 25th till the 28th of May 2000.

We left home on the 13th of May and our first night was in VALENCE in a FORMULE I hotel. Just before our arrive their we had a thunder storm so we arrived a little wet :-)
The next morning we took of for NICE where we had to take the
ferry for AJACCIO (Corsica) at 03.00 pm. We arrived in Ajaccio at 07.00 pm.
After a good night sleep we went our GW to BONIFACIO
where we had to take the
ferry for SARDINE at 03.00 pm.
It was nearly 04.00 pm when we arrived at SANTA TERESA (Sardine) and after a ride from about 80 km we slept in CASTELSARDO (West coast).
From CASTELSARDO we took the road along OZIERI to
NUORO. From
there we went to a camping at TORRE DI BARI
at the East coast where we stayed
two nights. On the large camping site there were only 12 tourists !!!!
In the neighbourhood of LANUSEI we visited the GROTTA SU MARMURI
which is one of
the largest cavern of Europe.
On Friday the 19th we had to take the ferry for PALERMO (Sicily) at CAGLIARI.
